January 25 is a special day for SUAI. It combines three holidays — the birthday of the university, the student's day and Tatiana's day. In January 1941, during the period of rapid development of domestic aviation, a Government decree was issued on the establishment of the Leningrad Aviation Institute (LAI).
On February 20, 1945, LAI was transformed into the Leningrad Institute of Aviation Instrumentation (LIAI).
In 1992, it became the State Academy of Aerospace Instrumentation (SAAI)
In 1998, it received the status of a university, and a new name — St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation (SUAI)
Today, 82 years after the creation of the university, we congratulate everyone who studies, works or is somehow connected with the St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation!
We wish our university and its students new achievements!
