SUAI Participated in the International Exhibition Education and Career

From 16th-18th February, 2023 SUAI delegation headed by Rector Yulia Antokhina visited the 20th International Specialized Exhibition Education and Career in Minsk.

Representatives of 16 Russian universities, including St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation, worked at the joint stand of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia for 3 days. Applicants, school-goers and their parents learned about the terms for admission in 2023, competitions and summer schools, tuition fees, student life and career opportunities.

On 16^th of February, Yulia Antokhina and the university delegation took part in the press conference Entrance Campaign 2023. Aspects of Education in Russian Universities. The press conference was arranged by the Sputnik Belarus agency with the participation of the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Belarus. According to the Russian House in Belarus, in 2023 the quota for education in Russian universities at the expense of the federal budget has been increased to 1,300 places.

This is connected with the growing demand of talented Belarusian youth for education in prestigious higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation. The rector of the SUAI spoke at the meeting about the areas of training, the material and technical base of the university and opportunities for the students.

– We will be glad to accept Belarusian entrants into the ranks of SUAI students. Every year, SUAI graduates more than 2,500 students, and we make every effort to provide them with jobs in their field, teach them how to write a resume, and present themselves. If a graduate is interested, then he will use all the possibilities and create his own career trajectory. Now there is a lot of talk about the creation of new professions, but I would like to focus on the new competencies, without which it is impossible to be in demand on the labor market today. That is why the SUAI develops, changes and offers new programs. So, in the current academic year, we have already offered our students 147 areas of training, last academic year there were 132 of them. Moreover, all of them have public accreditation and are supported by employers, - Yulia Antokhina said at a press conference.

The exhibition Education and Career has also become a platform for the exchange of experience and the cooperation between the SUAI and Belarusian universities. Close cooperation has already been established between St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation and Euphrosyne Polotskaya State University of Polotsk (PSU). As part of the interaction, a joint summer school, Artificial Intelligence Week at PSU, mutual internships and open lectures were held. Participation of SUAI in the international specialized exhibition Education and Career will expand the horizons of international cooperation.
